Unseen World and Prophet's Issues 6item When the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s) was in contact with the Almighty Allah, why did he need to seek counsel from his companions in martial and social affairs? The Almighty Allah has commanded to him in the 38th ayat of Surah Shura that in this matter it is necessary for him to seek advice and counsel. When he was the most wise and knowledgeable of all, why did the almighty command him to seek counsel? Did Rasool Allah Mohammed (s.a) had Ilme Ghayb (Unseen world)? Knowing of the unknown Future? I have a friend who throws a lot of question at me to see what we follow and understand. Since I have asked that let me know also if any of our Imams especially Harzat Ali (a.s) had it? Providing references from Quran will help me the most. Where did the Masoomeen - The Infallibles- get their knowledge from? Was it taught to them by their parents and the Prophet or was it all given to them directly from God? I am looking for hadiths from the prophet (pbuh) that speak of the oppression towards Imam Ali (as) that were to take place in the future. For instance, I have heard much that the prophet (pbuh) foretold the three battles that would take place for the imam, or that he told the imam during the treaty of Hudaybiyyah that they would also erase the imam’s name and so on. If possible, please list some of the sources where these types of hadiths have been mentioned. The Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) said, "There will be (at some future time) people from my ummah (community of Muslims) who will seek to make lawful: fornication, the wearing of silk (by men), wine-drinking, and the use of musical instruments (ma'azif). Some people will stay at the side of a mountain and then their shepherd comes in the evening to ask them for his needs. They will say 'return to us tomorrow.' Then Allah will destroy them during the night by causing the mountain to fall on them, while he changes others into apes and swine. They will remain in such a state until the Day of Resurrection. (Related by Imam Al-Bukhari in Fat-hul Baari Sahih) According to the Hadith above, Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) knew the future. My question is: Did Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) really know the future? Because a Muslim said that Allah said in the Quran that Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) did not know the future. Please give me proof from the Quran that says that Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) knew or did not know the future. Thank you very much and may God bless you.
