Apocalypse 13item I know from many Sunni brothers and sisters that they believe in “Dajjal” who is supposed to appear before Imam Mahdi (a.). What is your opinion about that and what does the Shia think about that? Is there also a “Dajjal” with us or do we believe in it? Do traditions say anything about Jews in the Aakher az-Zaman (End of time)? What are the thoughts of different groups about the future of the world? Many people say that life will end before year 2000 referring to the hadith which says “Tua'allafwalatu'allafan” which means that the year will reach one 1000 but not 2000 (they say the hadith is referring to the Christian year)? If it is true can you give me some references for the hadith? I read this book that had explained the ahadith related to the end of time and the twelfth Imam's Dhuhur (Emergence), it said that there is a great possibility we are living in the last era of human life and that this is the era in which the twelfth Imam will reappear. Please explain who the Sofyani, Zarghawi, Yamaani, Khorasani and Shu’ayb Ibn Saleh are and mention the ahadith that show how we can recognize these individuals. What are the signs for the reemergence of the Master of the Age [i.e. the Twelfth Imam]? I wanted to ask about a hadith that has been mentioned in the book Mizanul-I’tidal that says when the Dajjal appears, all his followers will be lovers of Uthman. Is this hadith authentic and are its narrators reliable? Who is the Dajjal? Can you please give an explanation on him and the hadiths that have mentioned him? What are the signs of Imam Zaman’s (as) dhuhur (reappearance) and which ones are reliable? I’ve read a hadith that said everyone in Iran will rebel in akhar al-zaman, except for the people of Qom but after a period it expands and encompasses Qom as well and soon after Imam Zaman will reappear. Is this hadith true? [On the commands of Allah, Hazrat Vali-e-Asr is in occultation right from the commencement of his Imamat. Hence as opposed to his forefathers (a.s.), Imam's meetings with his Shias have been few and far between. By and large, the problems of the people have been presented before his esteemed self in the form of letters and “Areeza” (“Areeza” is a letter of requests written by the Shias to the Imam of their time). And Imam (a.s.) too has reciprocated in a similar manner. The letters of Imam-e-Zaman (a.s.) are terminologically called as “Tawqee”. These Tawqees have been assimilated in several books. Hazrat Ayatullah Syed Hasan Shirazi (may Allah purify his soul) has compiled these letters in a book by the name of “Kalemat-ul-Imam al-Mahdi”. This single book contains all the letters of Imam (a.s.) which are found in different books. Originally the book was written in Arabic. Dr. Syed Hasan Sabzawari has translated this book into Persian by the same name. The answers to the questions mentioned below, have been given by Imam (a.s.) himself. These replies have been compiled from various letters that were sent to him (a.s.) in the course of his Ghaibat. To that extent the letters of Imam (a.s.) constitute “half a meeting” with him, and the same is being presented in your service. We pray to Allah that this endeavour is accepted by our pure Imam (a.s.) We look forward to that day when we can present to you an interview conducted by personally meeting Imam (a.s.). Inshallah] What will be the condition of the world and the Muslims before your reappearance? Where the anti-Christ (al-dajall) will be defeated? Is the time of Zohur (reappearance) soon?
