Christianity 35item Were the other three holy writings (Bible, Torah, and Zabur) sent down in Arabic? What happened to Jesus (a.s.) according to Islam? Did he die on the cross or not, and where is he now? Who are the actual Ahle Kitab, please mention their religion and what are the called today? Are we expected to believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ? Is it written in the Quran? Christian asks: I have understood that also in Islam eternal punishment in Hell is for those who don’t get into Heaven. What is the possible benefit of this punishment? What purpose does it serve? Same question could be asked in discussion about Christianity. 1. Sir I was looking for some precise proof of our belief that the Bible available in the current time is corrupt, through protestant beliefs and the proofs being scientific as well. 2. Where does the current bible speak about Islam or Quran? 3. God (swt) words are divine, so why did God allow the bible script to become corrupt? 4. My friend asks that if Muslims do sins but ask for forgiveness, they get it if we assure ourselves through our heart that we are not going to repeat it, but still we haven’t payed for it i.e. for breaking a law you a pay a fine or go to prison, but in Islam we get forgiven if we deserve, so how do we claim that God (swt) is JUST? Is it a sin reading the Bible? I have been fortunate in the sense that I had a Muslim father and a Christian Mother. Neither of them forced or encouraged me to follow either belief. I was allowed to seek the truth for myself. After years of 'feeling' out both, I decided that Islam offered the most logical explanations towards behavior, belief in God and the day of Judgement. As you are aware, Christianity has deified the Prophet Jesus. He is part of what is called the ''Holy Trinity'. As I understand this, this brings forth the question, "Who rules Heaven?". It brings along another problem. Namely, the 1st commandment handed down to the Prophet Moses emphatically states that man shall only adore God. Christians, whom I know, state that the above rules do not apply in this case. As you and I are well aware, God has not sent down an 'amendment' to the 1st commandment. Would you be able to give me some idea how I should counter their arguments? I attended Muslim prayers several years ago when the speaker was talking about Jesus and Islam. He said that the Qur'an talks about Jesus' family and a bit of his history that even the Bible does not include. I have been unable to follow up on this but would be very interested to know if this is true. I have an English version of the Qur'an and could look up any references provided. Thanks in advance. Do Christians acknowledge the Prophethood of Khidhr and recognize him officially? In verse 55 of Aal-i Imran, God states that: “…and I shall set those who follow you [Jesus (a)] above the faithless until the Day of Resurrection.” If this is the case and the followers of Prophet Jesus (a) are indeed superior amongst all the disbelievers, then why should we follow the religion of Prophet Muhammad (s)? Instead, we should follow the religion of Prophet Jesus (a) so that on the Day of Resurrection, we may be considered superior amongst all the disbelievers. Why do they call Prophet Isa “The Spirit of God”? And what is meant when it is said that Allah blew his spirit into Prophet Adam? What do Jews say about the return of Prophet Isa (pbuh) or the coming of the Promised Messiah? What does Islam say about Prophet Isa (pbuh) walking on water? 1- Is it true that Lady Maryam would receive food and fruit from heaven? 2- How is it possible for such things to come down from heaven while Allah (swt) says in the Quran that heavenly things are forever and immortal? If we accept that things can actually come down from heaven, another question will rise, and that is: Is it possible for heaven’s residents to come down as well? 123
