What should I do to get back my soul purified? I have been a very big sinner since my young age. I started masturbating at a very young age (12) not knowing that it was a sin. Slowly it became a habit that I could not stop. Although as I grew older I came to know it was haraam. Today, I am 23 and have altogether stopped indulging in this sin. Words cannot describe the extent to which I regret it. I ask for forgiveness from The Most Merciful but still am not satisfied and feel that I have to do more. What more can I do? Although I have repented from Allah, people still talk bad about my character and all. What should I do to change it? Any act Dua or anything guided by Allah in such case? Please help? I am doing something wrong or sin, I want to leave it since long but I could not, what shall I do to help me leave it? Like Dua or other things. It is only now that I realise the truly harmful effects of backbiting. I know want to do istighfar, but, I do not remeber all the people that I have spoken about, or they have moved away, etc. I once heard in a maj'lis that there are some tasbihs that you can recite and pray that the sawaab of these go to the slandered, please can you give me more information on this. I am a young girl. Once, I loved a guy and I committed Muharramat (forbidden acts) with him, but we did not commit adultery. Now, I asked Allah’s forgiveness and turned to Him (The Exalted) in repentance. Will Allah accept my repentance? One of them claimed that after committing this sin, he would repent and would never return to again, will his repentance be accepted?
