Imam Khamenei (May His Life be Prolonged) 5item Some people spread rumors regarding conflict between great Shia scholars like the scholars of Qum and Najaf. For example they say that Ayatullah Khomeini and Ayatullah Khoe use to curse each other and Ayatullah Seestani and Ayatullah Khamenei also hate each other. These rumors are greatly damaging the unity among Shias. How can we refute such people and establish unity among Shias? Quran surah 2 verse 63 according to Maula Khamenei commands that take by force what has been given to you. In this regard, I want to ask why didn’t the holy imams of Ahlul Bayt invoked the verse to claim their rights. Moreover, a Sunni scholar interpreted the verse to refer to the Jews although I doubted it. Could you help to clear this confusion? I had a question regarding Wilayah Faqih (The Gaurdianship of the Jurist). I have accepted the reasons that support the theory of Wilayah Faqih, but the question that remains is why was Ayatollah Khamene’i chosen for this position? What Fiqhi reasons are there that support his appointment as Waliyy Faqih when there are many other qualified individuals? What even makes this question more salient is a fatwa that Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani issued pertaining to moon sighting. It says if a Marja’ issues a “Hukm” (Command) in this regard; all other Marja’s must follow him. This fatwa indicates that other Maraj’i can play the role of Waliyy Faqih. Some consider Ayatullah Khamenei to be Imam Zaman’s (aj) successor, while he isn't infallible. They see him as the absolute Wali Faqih, while absolute authority only belongs to the prophet and 12 imams. My other question is whether or not the Supreme Leader’s actions can be monitored or not?
