General Affairs of Islamic Republic of Iran 7item I recently saw an authentic report on television about a former Muslim from Iran. A council of Islamic Scholars and Sheikhs decided to murder him because he converted to Christianity. Based on the Quran with the verse: “But if they turn away, then seize them and slay them…” I thought this is unbelievable and I was shocked when I got the confirmation. Also written in the Quran: “To you be your way, And to me mine” [109:5] I would greatly appreciate a plausible statement. Why is the Ja‘farī school of thought (madhhab) stipulated in the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran as the official madhhab of the country? What is the concept of Islamic modest dress? It is said in Islam that man and woman have been created and evolved equally and there is no difference between them. If so, why does Islam imposes restrictions on women only? If there is no difference between men and women, then men should also observe Islamic modest dress? Despite the fact that Islam has legislated temporary marriage in order to prevent adultery (verse 24 of surah Nisa’) and the prophet and his household have emphasized on it, ruling has not been fully carried out yet. Even though our society is known to be an Islamic one, not only has it not carried out this law of Islam in the correct manner, but sometimes even prevents its practice. It may be hard to believe but the truth of the matter is that most teenagers do not know about mut’ah and even those who do are afraid to practice it, what solutions do you suggest? Why are women compelled in Iran to cover all parts of their bodies except their faces, hands up to the writs and their feet up to the ankles? There is no such a strict thing in other Muslim countries? Aren't Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkey Muslim states? Why is wearing bright and sharp colored clothing in society a problematic issue for women in Iran? What is the meaning of the government of Islamic Republic?
