Hibri has quoted from Hasan ibn Husayn from Hibban ibn Kalbi from Abi Salih from ibn Abbas that he said:﴿إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مُنذِرٌ﴾ [1] “You are only a warner” refers to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.),﴿وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ﴾“(there is) a guide for every people” and refers to Ali (a.s.)”. [2] According to Sunnis opinion this tradition is valid. We examine its document here: Hasan ibn Husayn, Arni Kufi: he is one of the transmitters of traditions of Mustadrak of Hakim and his traditions have been confirmed by him and Zahabi [3] though some people have classified his traditions as weak just for being a Shi`a. Hibban ibn Ali Kalbi: he is one of the transmitters of traditions of ibn Majah, and Yahya ibn Mu’in has considered him to be reliable. Ijli has also considered him to be truthful, and Ibn Habban has considered him as one of the reliable men. [4] Abu Salih: he is that very Bazam Mawla Umm Hani, daughter of Abi Talib (a.s.), who is counted as one of the transmitters of traditions of four books of Sihah Sittah, and many traditionalists has considered him to be reliable.
